Writing news
Something nice happened this weekend that has never happened before: I got paid for a short story. Though I was not a winner in the Dragon, Knights and Angels contest, the editor contacted me the week the winners were announced and said they wanted to use my story. So I said yes and filled out the contract and sent it in and Saturday they returned my copy of the contract with a check -- not a large check, I'll admit, but a check nonetheless. So sometime in the future The Man Who Kept a Dragon in the Basement will appear at Dragons, Knights and Angels. I'll keep you posted.
